How to Answer Most Common Interview Questions?

1: Tell Me About Yourself:

This is the most anticipated question from every interviewer.

The right approach:

Most candidates find this question difficult to answer.
In Reality, question offers an opportunity to describe yourself positively and focus the interview on your strengths.

* Share your experience, personal qualities & areas of expertise
* Describe how you can help employer if they hire you.
* If you have just completed your graduation tell them about the most influential experiences you have had while in college.
* Give them a short synopsis of an influential class, your internships, students organizations.
* Impress them with your positive attitudes.

* Be careful not to overwhelm the interviewer with too much information.
* Focus on what most interests the interviewer
* Highlight your most important achievements in your academic projects or in your past work experience

Example:
" I am a computer science graduate from Delhi University with 5 years of experience in Software testing,Presently I am working for xyz company from last 3 years where I am involved in a protocol testing project, I have very good Dotnet & Java programming skills which will help & reduce time of testing an entry-level application .....My strengths are strong will power, confidence, hardworking, quick learning"

If you are a fresh graduate:

" I am a computer science graduate from Delhi University, I have very good software testing skills both on manual & automation, I have excellent automation testing knowledge using QTP & Selenium, I have scored 90% in automation testing certification. If you hire me I am very confident that I reduce the application testing time using my java & VB scripting skills. my strengths are hardworking, quick learner, confidence"

Should be about a two or three minutes long and briefly cover your education, your interest in the field, work history and experience.

2: What are your strengths?

This is your chance to shine. You're being asked to explain why you are a great employee, so don't hold back and stay do stay positive,
You could say you are a great motivator, great technical troubleshooter, or you might say you have excellent communication skills.
Remember The interviewer is looking for work-related strengths.

3: What are your achievements in your present company?

This is a time to explain your any achievements or performance, You don't expect this question if you are a fresh graduate & searching for a job.
Achievements include if you have involved in any major activity & was successful by you. If you are a production support engineer you can explain the most recent major problem you have solved.

4: Why I should hire you?

You might have covered this question in any previous question, nothing wrong in showing or explaining your strengths again.
Study the job description thoroughly, and make some points of your excellent skills

5: How much salary do you expect?

Study some average salary for your experience & skills, Have a look at the average salary for someone in your industry
Best answer:: I am looking for a salary somewhere between Rs 3.5 Lacks and 4 Lacks per year.

Wrong Answer: How much Can I expect? ..  or any unrealistic salaries which are not in line with industry standards and best practice.

6: Do you have any questions to ask me?

"A good generic one is "how soon could I start if I were offered the job of course."
